ASE MPR2 MXT

One of the most interesting tweeters is the VIFA XT300 V/4 ring radiator.

Gerd Lommersum, owner of the Vifa distribution in Haigerloch, Germany, improved considerably on the standard version (often found in high quality finished loudspeakers): A metal instead of a plastic front plate.

Gerd Lommersum who designed quite a few high quality speakers like the Quintadena 1 devised, therefore, the 38 x 23 x 31 cm small MPR2 MXT (pictured left). The goal was to have a perfect sounding speaker: That's why Gerd Lommersum decided to go for a closed cabinet speaker, since this type shows a considerably better peak performance than a bass reflex type This will certainly affect the low bass. We, therefore, recommend to all bass enthusiasts to use a subwoofer as bass extension. Quite suitable is e.g. the Magnon subwoofer (pictured right).

Technical data of the MPR2 MXT:
