Review in ADM 7/2006 by Udo Wohlgemuth: .. "Those who are in the market for speakers at this price and quality, should first find out whether their expectation will be met. Since this is quite often not possible due to lack of demo listening I take the liberty of reviewing this speaker as I see it. The listening test started off quite harmless with a CD that was given to me by a German-Danish amateur band called "Drones and Bellows" where mostly teachers are playing Scottish folk songs. Adding authenticity to the performance, the front woman - with an excellent voice - is a native Scot teaching German in Denmark. Responsible for the professional production is Brian McNeil, obviously a Scot, and one of the in-producers in this genre. The typical instruments, like bagpipes, handheld drums, fiddle and flutes I had often heard at open-air concerts. The sound was so natural and real that I listened to the entire CD. I continued with "Blue in Green" from John McLaughlin's CD "Live at the Royal festival Hall" with a warm welcoming applause and some fingers picking the strings showing the typical sliding over the bridge, bass and drums coming in one at a time. After one minute and seventeen seconds Trilok Gurtu turned slightly on his slightly creaking swivel stool towards his cymbals to put them into motion. Unfortunately, I wasn't at the concert, but the sound told my ears what my eyes could only see when closed. It's sufficiently well-known that the Eton drivers possess the wonderful ability to produce a relaxed sound with great attention to detail, paired with best possible broad and fine dynamics. Also the fact that the Eton2u XXL plays everything that is on a recording is well known to ma readers."
