Everyone listening to the Excel Mikros will seriously start contemplating whether bigger loudspeaker make any sense. Sure, bigger speakers do make sense: if you don't pay attention to the volume setting and out of the blue a double bass string is plucked with force (The Yuri Honing Trio: Walking On The Moon, to be found on the Manger test CD), the these slim bass diaphragms are getting into trouble. Just a little discipline in adjusting the volume setting, however, will ensure an incredible music experience. Even highly complex orchestral works, such as Carl Orff's Carmina Burana on Telarc, are mastered with ease and al the lushness of this piece is revealed. We have not heard the rich sound of "The Cost Of Freedom" by Marla Gien any better on our Triga. With speaker stand they show a more fundamental performance with even more and deeper bass."....

When a valve amp is being used an impedance linearisation is needed. The kit contains: - 1 x 8.2 Ohm ceramic resistor with 20W, - 1 x 22 uF ELCO non-etched and - 1 x 0.33 mH air core coil with 0.7 mm wire.
