Alcone Laplace XT

new 11/2004:
Due to popular demand for an Alcone Laplace with Vifa XT 300 ring radiator we have added the Laplace XT to our line of products. Our customers asked for a speaker with a larger cone than the one that comes with Lagrange but not as expensive as the Pascal.

The Laplace XT is similar to the Pascal, contains, however, just one Alcone AC 6.5 HE and a Vifa XT 300. Alcone Laplace XT

The Laplace XT shows the following characteristics:

  • good bass balance for standard positioning
  • a clean bass at the same time
  • well balanced sound with good three-dimensionality
  • transparent sound
  • pleasant, dry bass
  • beautiful, slim design (height x width x depth)

The Alcone Laplace XT contains:

  • 1 x VIFA XT-300 KS/4 tweeter, 4 Ohm
  • 1 x Alcone AC 6.5 mid/bass driver, 8 Ohm
  • 1 x terminal with gold plated brass binding posts
  • 2 x bags damping material
  • 1 x crossover - as kit, see below
  • 14 x screws 4 x 20 mm
  • foam sealing tape for drivers
  • 3m cable for internal wiring 2x1,5 mm2)
  • 1 x bass reflex tube HP 70

The crossover consists of:
  • air core coil 2.2 mH / 1,4 mm
  • air core coil 0.27 mH / 0,7 mm
  • air core coil 0.33 mH / 0,7 mm
  • Mundorf MKP capacitor 4.7 uF / 400 V
  • Mundorf MKP capacitor 10 uF / 400 V
  • MKP capacitor 2.2 uF / 400 V
  • MKP capacitor 2.7 uF / 400 V
  • MOX4 resistor 2.2 Ohm (red-red-gold)
  • MOX4 resistor 2.7 Ohm (red-purple-gold)
  • MOX4 resistor 3.9 Ohm (orange-white-gold)

Home Cinema

The Laplace XT is also well suited for Home Cinema; many customers combine this speaker with it Alcone Dirac XT as centre - if a screen is employed, some use a symmetrically built Pascal (building instruction upon request).

The reasonably priced Midi or Mini 65 are often being used as rear speakers.

Subwoofer: a powerful sub like the Sub 12 is well suited.
